Construction on the Interdisciplinary Research Facility, located in Ohio State’s Innovation District, is 70% complete. The 5-story building will house both wet and dry laboratories and serve multiple research disciplines, including biomedical, life sciences, engineering and environmental sciences. Two floors will be dedicated to the university’s Comprehensive Cancer Center including its new Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology.
Construction on the Interdisciplinary Research Facility, located inside Ohio State’s Innovation District, is 66% complete. FOD crews are laying exterior brick, installing elevators, flooring and hanging drywall in the 305,000 square foot facility. Crews are also working on electric connections on all five floors. When finished, the facility will offer multiple research disciplines working together, including biomedical, life sciences, engineering and environmental sciences and more.

Columbus Business First shared news this week that Ohio State's incentive is projected at $47 million over the next 25 years for the 12,000 high-paying jobs it expects to create in its Innovation District.
It replaces the previous biggest-ever jobs incentive, also for the university.

A ceremony today helped mark a construction milestone for The Ohio State University’s Interdisciplinary Research Facility.
The final steel beam for the facility, wrapped in logos of the university, The Ohio State U
iversity Comprehensive Cancer Center and Pelotonia, was raised to top off the building. Hundreds of university students, faculty and staff left signatures across the beam that are now a permanent part of the new building.
